Material, Care & Finish Guide
Our Material Every piece is crafted from PLA (Polylactic Acid), a highly durable and eco-friendly bioplastic derived from renewable resources like cornstarch.
The Character of History Many of our statues—like our classical and mythological figures—are created from high-fidelity scans of historical sculptures and real-world artifacts. Because of this, they faithfully reproduce the true character of the original source material, including the natural weathering, asymmetry, and textures acquired over centuries.
The 3D Printing Process & Choosing Your Finish Our items are brought to life using high-precision additive manufacturing (3D printing). Unlike mass-produced molded plastics, this process builds each piece meticulously, layer by layer, over the span of hours. This results in a unique, fine-textured finish that serves as the signature of a custom-manufactured object, meaning no two pieces are exactly alike.
Solid Colors (Like Pure White): Solid colors tend to naturally highlight the unique, tactile layer lines of the 3D printing process. While many customers like this color, it will show more layer lines by default.
Marble Finish: For those seeking a more uniform aesthetic, we highly recommend our marble finish. The stone-like variegation naturally masks and blends these surface details, creating a beautiful, classic sculpted look.
Care Instructions
Indoor Use Only: PLA plastic is incredibly durable but heat-sensitive. Please do not leave your items in a hot car, in direct sunlight, or near heat sources for extended periods, as the material can warp at temperatures over 120°F (50°C).
Cleaning: To clean your piece, wipe it gently with a damp cloth or use a soft, dry brush to dust the deeper crevices. Please avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
