The Lore & Symbolism

In folklore, Lilith was Adam’s first companion, made from the same earth rather than from his rib. When she refused to be treated as lesser, she left Eden and became a figure of fear in patriarchal tradition. Today, many modern practitioners reclaim Lilith as a Dark Goddess of autonomy, sexual freedom, shadow work, and raw personal power.

The Wings: I gave Lilith large wings to make her feel imposing and otherworldly. They help frame the figure and bring in that fallen, nocturnal energy that so many people connect with her.

The Serpent: I placed a serpent winding up beside her as a symbol of temptation, wisdom, transformation, and hidden knowledge. It also ties Lilith back to older imagery of rebellion and forbidden truth.

The Horns: I kept the horns subtle rather than oversized. I wanted them to add to her fierce presence without overwhelming the statue.

Her Expression and Pose: I designed her to look steady and self-contained instead of enraged. For me, Lilith is most powerful when she looks completely sure of herself.

How It’s Made

I craft each statue using eco-friendly PLA bioplastic, which is derived from renewable plant-based sources like cornstarch. Because these are 3D printed layer by layer, each piece has a unique, subtle texture and small variations that make it one of a kind.

Design Note: I designed this Lilith statue with a strong vertical shape, with the wings and serpent staying close to the figure so the whole sculpture feels unified and sturdy. It has a rugged, detailed look that works especially well in darker finishes.

Who Was Persephone?
According to ancient Greek mythology, Persephone (Kore) was the maiden of spring whose descent into the Underworld shifted the seasons. While classical tellings often reduce her to a mere victim of abduction by Hades, she has been powerfully reclaimed by modern practitioners as a willing Queen, a master of liminal spaces, and a goddess of supreme autonomy. She ate the pomegranate seeds, binding herself to the dark realm and claiming her throne.

She is the patron of those who embrace their inner darkness as much as their light, who understand that true growth requires seasons of rest, and who know that there is immense power in ruling your own underworld.

The Symbolism:
The Pomegranate Crown
Resting heavily upon her veiled head—with one fruit split open to reveal the fateful seeds—the pomegranate represents the choice, the binding, and the embrace of the shadow self. It is a symbol of fertility, life born from death, and the wisdom that comes from descending into our own depths. It reminds us that what others call our “ruin” can actually be our coronation.
The Skull and Narcissus Base
Supporting the Goddess is a stunning pedestal where the delicate petals of spring flowers (the narcissus that originally lured her) are inextricably woven with human skulls. This beautiful juxtaposition is the essence of Persephone: the unbreakable cycle of life, death, and rebirth. It teaches us that light and dark, blooming and decaying, are not enemies, but partners in the sacred dance of existence.
