I designed this chibi-style Odin statue to bring his wise, formidable energy to your desk, bookshelf, or small altar. He’s accompanied by his classic symbols—his spear Gungnir and his twin ravens, Huginn and Muninn—but in a cute, stylized format that I absolutely love.
Whether you’re working with Norse deities, exploring your own path of wisdom, or just want a daily reminder to seek knowledge, I made this little statue to be a perfect, compact companion.
Why “Chibi”?
If you aren’t familiar with the term, “chibi” is a Japanese art style that exaggerates proportions to make characters look small and cute (think big expressive eyes and stubby little bodies). I’m a huge fan of this aesthetic, and blending this adorable anime-inspired style with the heavy, powerful themes of the Allfather like Odin was such a fun challenge for me. It creates a really unique contrast that fits perfectly into modern pagan or heathen decor.
My Take on Odin & His Symbols
To me, Odin represents the ultimate, relentless pursuit of wisdom and truth. In the lore, he is the wanderer, the seeker, and the one who sacrificed his own eye for knowledge. I wanted this piece to honor that powerful, guiding energy.
I made sure to include his ravens, representing thought and memory, perched faithfully on his shoulders. I also gave him his mighty spear and detailed his throne with intricate knotwork. Bringing all these intense, ancient elements into a chunky, cute design is my way of showing that immense strength and wisdom don’t always have to look intimidating.
How I Make Them:
I 3D print each of these statues right in my workspace using PLA, which is a tough, plant-based bioplastic (derived from cornstarch). Because of how the 3D printing process works layer-by-layer, each statue has a very subtle, unique surface texture—no two are exactly alike.
A quick note on the design: I specifically designed his throne, ravens, and spear to be integrated tightly together. Not only does this fit the cute chibi aesthetic perfectly, but it also makes the statue incredibly solid and heavy-bottomed. There are no fragile, floating little pieces that are going to snap off when you handle him!
Care Instructions:
Keep him indoors: PLA plastic can warp if it gets hotter than 120°F (50°C), so please don’t leave him out in the hot summer sun or in a hot car.
Cleaning: Just dust him gently with a soft brush or microfiber cloth. If he needs a wipe down, use a barely damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
I hope this piece brings as much empowering, wise energy to your space as I felt while designing him. He’s for anyone who constantly seeks knowledge and trusts their own inner ravens!
