“Not what we have, but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.”
Bring the philosopher of happiness and tranquility into your home. Epicurus is one of history’s most misunderstood thinkers. While the word “epicurean” today makes people think of extravagant luxury and indulgence, his actual philosophy was the exact opposite. He taught from his famous “Garden” that true peace of mind (ataraxia) comes from simple pleasures, avoiding unnecessary anxiety, and cultivating deep, meaningful friendships.
Whether you’re shopping for a history buff, a philosophy student, or that friend who loves deep conversations over a good meal, this bust serves as a daily reminder to slow down and appreciate the simple things. It makes a beautiful addition to a bookshelf, office desk, or even a dining room shelf.
The Details:
Authentic Character: This piece is created using a high-resolution scan of an actual historical sculpture. We didn’t smooth out the history—it faithfully captures the weathering, slight asymmetry, and unique textures the original stone acquired over the centuries.
How It’s Made: We 3D print each piece to order. Because they are built layer-by-layer over several hours, your bust will have a faint, fine-textured finish. This is the natural “fingerprint” of the 3D printing process, meaning no two pieces are exactly identical.
Choosing a Finish: If you prefer a more uniform, classic look, we highly recommend our marble finish. The natural, stone-like variegation blends the surface details beautifully. Solid colors (like pure white) tend to highlight the printing layers a bit more.
Care Instructions:
Keep it cool: Made from PLA plastic, which is durable but sensitive to high heat. Keep it indoors and out of direct, baking sunlight or hot cars (it can warp at temperatures over 120°F / 50°C).
Cleaning: Just wipe gently with a damp cloth or use a soft brush to dust the crevices. Please avoid harsh chemicals!
