I designed this minimalist 3D-printed Hecate statue to bring her mysterious and protective energy to your desk, bookshelf, or small altar. She’s accompanied by her classic symbols—her twin flaming torches—but in a sleek, faceless format that I absolutely love.
Whether you’re working with crossroads magic, diving into the dark moon, or just want a daily reminder of your own inner guidance, I made this striking statue to be a perfect, modern companion.
Why “Minimalist” and Faceless?
If you aren’t familiar with this style of art, a faceless design strips away specific human features to create a more universal, atmospheric presence. I’m a huge fan of this aesthetic, and blending this sleek, modern style with the ancient, powerful themes of a goddess like Hecate was such a fun challenge for me. It creates a really unique, mysterious vibe that fits perfectly into modern pagan or dark academia decor. More importantly, it allows you to project your own personal vision of the Dark Goddess onto the piece.
My Take on Hecate & Her Symbols
To me, Hecate represents ultimate guidance and protection through the unknown. In the old folklore, she is the Goddess of the Crossroads, witchcraft, and the night, holding the power to see the past, present, and future. I wanted this piece to honor that illuminating, liminal energy.
I made sure to prominently feature her crossed torches, which represent her role as the bringer of light and the one who safely guides us through the darkness and times of transition. Bringing these intense, ancient elements into a smooth, elegant design is my way of showing that ancient magic can look stunningly modern.
How I Make Them:
I 3D print each of these statues right in my workspace using PLA, which is a tough, plant-based bioplastic (derived from cornstarch). Because of how the 3D printing process works layer-by-layer, each statue has a very subtle, unique surface texture—no two are exactly alike.
A quick note on the design: I specifically designed her flowing cloak to flare out into a wide, solid base, and her crossed torches are integrated securely against her chest. Not only does this sweeping shape fit the minimalist aesthetic perfectly, but it also makes the statue incredibly stable and solid. There are no fragile, floating little pieces that are going to snap off when you handle her!
Care Instructions:
Keep her indoors: PLA plastic can warp if it gets hotter than 120°F (50°C), so please don’t leave her out in the hot summer sun or in a hot car.
Cleaning: Just dust her gently with a soft brush or microfiber cloth. If she needs a wipe down, use a barely damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
I hope this piece brings as much illuminating energy to your space as I felt while designing her. She’s for anyone who isn’t afraid of the dark and bravely lights their own path!
